How Disputes Work on TorZon
TorZon's dispute system is built on a principle of cryptographic evidence. When a buyer opens a dispute, both parties are invited to submit evidence to the resolution queue. Evidence takes the form of PGP-encrypted messages exchanged during the transaction (proving communication timeline and content), shipping tracking information, and in the case of quality disputes, photographic documentation. Moderators review evidence in sequence and issue binding decisions.
Resolution Statistics
In Q3 2025, TorZon resolved 96.3% of all disputes in the buyer's favour when vendors failed to provide shipping confirmation within the agreed window. In quality disputes, vendor-provided refunds before escalation accounted for 71% of resolutions, avoiding the formal moderation queue entirely. The average time from dispute open to final resolution in the moderation queue is 48 hours, a significant improvement over the industry average of 5-7 days.
When to Open a Dispute
Open a dispute if the tracking shows no movement for 5 business days beyond the posted shipping window, if the product does not match the listing description, or if the vendor goes silent for 48+ hours after reported non-delivery. Never finalize early based on vendor promises — once FE is confirmed, the escrow protection is waived permanently for that order. The dispute window remains open for 21 days after the expected delivery date, ensuring adequate time for international shipments. For full platform features, see the market overview.
