The Non-KYC Requirement

For TorZon transactions, acquiring Monero through KYC exchanges (Kraken, Binance, Coinbase) creates a transaction trail linking your verified identity to your XMR address. Even though XMR transactions are private on-chain, the initial acquisition creates a documented connection between your real identity and an XMR amount. For genuine privacy, non-KYC acquisition is necessary.

Methods in 2026

Haveno (haveno.exchange) is a decentralised P2P XMR exchange requiring no KYC. Trades settle directly between parties using Monero's multisig escrow. Payment methods include bank transfers, cash by mail, and various in-person cash options. Bisq (bisq.network) offers BTC-XMR atomic swaps with no accounts or KYC. Cash by mail or in-person cash trades eliminate bank records. Bitcoin ATM to BTC, then atomic swap to XMR: a two-step process but accessible in most urban areas.

After Acquisition

Receive your XMR into a wallet running over Tor. Feather Wallet (featherwallet.org) has built-in Tor routing. Monero GUI Wallet can be configured to use Tor. Never receive non-KYC XMR into the same wallet as KYC-acquired XMR — keep these funds completely separated. Wait through at least one transaction before depositing to TorZon, allowing additional Tor network mixing time. Full step-by-step instructions are in our XMR acquisition guide.
